Overview
Role: Advanced Occupational Therapist - Inpatients. The right person will have experience in acute care and rehabilitation within an inpatient setting. You’ll manage your own caseload independently, delivering best-practice assessments and treatment interventions while supervising junior staff. You’ll work with our Lead OT on projects and contribute to the ongoing development of our department. The role covers a diverse range of inpatient care (including PICU, cardiac cases, and NICU when appropriate) as well as outpatient services such as neurorehabilitation, autism, sensory processing, developmental delays, learning difficulties, and seating assessments. The Portland Hospital offers an engaging, collaborative environment with opportunities to cross-cover sections and departments. Formal and informal CPD programs support ongoing professional development. This role is based in London at The Portland Hospital.

Responsibilities
* Manage your own caseload independently, delivering assessments and treatment interventions to inpatients and appropriate outpatients.
* Supervise junior staff and contribute to the development of the department, working closely with the Lead OT on projects.
* Provide care in a diverse range of inpatient settings (PICU, cardiac, NICU when appropriate) and contribute to outpatient services such as neurorehabilitation, autism, sensory processing, developmental delays, learning difficulties, and seating assessments.
* Cross-cover across sections and departments to broaden expertise and skills.
* Engage in continuous learning opportunities, including formal and informal CPD programs.
Qualifications
* HCPC registered
* Relevant degree in Occupational Therapy
* Experience as Band 7 Paediatric Occupational Therapist
* Experience working in a hospital environment and inpatients
* Experience in service development
* Good communication skills
* Willingness to learn and work as part of an MDT
