Role Description
This is a full-time role and will be mainly based in the office (10 miles from Scarborough). Please only apply if you live locally (Yorkshire). I am seeking a junior logistics team member to join a new business. It would be great if you have some market knowledge, but if you want to get into commodity/grain/organics logistics and trading, then this would be an ideal step, as full training will be given.
Responsibilities
As a logistics assistant, you will be helping to execute trades and manage the logistical side (liaising with hauliers/stores). It is a small business so you have to be happy to be involved in trading/accounts and logistics. You need to be happy to pick up the phone to new customers and also go and meet customers in person.
Growth opportunities
If you wanted to move into trading, then this could build up to managing your book of business and opening new markets.
Pay and benefits
Pay will depend upon the level of experience, and there is also a company bonus scheme.
Qualifications
* Yorkshire-based essential
* Strong communication and negotiation skills are essential
* Willingness to learn about new markets and opportunities is essential
* Wanting to join a small team that is growing and be involved in all aspects of the business
* Some Agricultural Commodity Markets knowledge is preferable but not essential
