An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Teacher of Geography to join our Social Subjects Faculty.
This post is start on or after 27 October 2025 and is temporary, to cover a maternity leave.
This a full-time, 1.0 FTE post, but we will consider applications from candidates wishing to work part-time.
About the School
The Community School of Auchterarder is an all-through school, comprising Nursery, Primary and Secondary departments serving the community of Auchterarder and surrounding district.
We have a roll of approximately 1,100 children and young people across all three sectors.
The school is situated in a rural location, approximately 14 miles south of Perth with good road networks to the rest of Perthshire, Glasgow, Edinburgh and the central belt. Our Associated Primary Schools are Aberuthven, Blackford and Dunning.

Skills & Experience Required
The successful candidate will have a thorough knowledge of pedagogies that engage learners. The successful candidate will take account of the needs of all learners in their classrooms and ensure inclusive practice that leads to positive outcomes for learners. An ability to analyse data to ensure that outcomes for young people are the best they possibly can be, will be required.
High aspirations for learners, good communication skills with parents/carers and respectful relationships and the successful applicant will be skilled in positive behaviour management techniques including restorative approaches.

You must have GTCS Registration in Geography.
