Speech and Language Therapist

The position is based in the East Surrey Community Teams for Adults with Learning Disabilities, covering two office bases in Leatherhead and Redhill. The successful applicant will join a multidisciplinary team of Speech and Language Therapists across East and West Community Teams, Neurodevelopmental, Children and Young Person's, Older Age Adults and Forensic services.
Full and valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes are required.
Responsibilities
* Deliver person‑centred speech and language therapy to adults with learning disabilities.
* Support and promote safe eating and drinking.
* Provide clinical supervision and contribute to leadership development within the team.
* Design and facilitate training programmes for staff and service users.
* Engage in multi‑disciplinary team meetings and contribute to service evaluation.
* Work flexibly and independently across the service area.
Qualifications & Experience
* Speech and Language Therapy qualification.
* Completion of a practice educator course.
* Relevant post‑qualification clinical experience in a learning disability setting.
* Experience of designing and facilitating training.
* Experience of supervising staff and supporting the evaluation of service delivery.
* Experience of assessing for and implementing use of AAC methods.
Skills
* Valid UK driving licence.
* Access to a car for work purposes.
Salary ranges from £41,957 to £50,387 per year, including 5% Fringe HCAS, pro rata.
