A highly regarded academy for ages 4-19, supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and complex learning disabilities. The school offers a caring, inclusive environment with personalised pathways, vocational options, and a strong focus on independence and life skills.
About the role:
You will lead a class team to plan and deliver differentiated lessons across EYFS to Post-16, integrating communication strategies and therapy advice. The role includes supporting academic, vocational, and life-skills learning, ensuring progress against EHCP targets.
We’re looking for a dedicated candidate to:
1. Create engaging, personalised learning plans
2. Foster positive behaviour and communication using structured approaches
3. Collaborate with therapists, support staff, and families
4. Assess and track progress effectively
Requirements –
The ideal candidate would have:
5. QTS/QTLS with proven SEN teaching experience
6. Knowledge of AAC, sensory integration, and structured teaching approaches
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
8. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
