Our client is a well-established and growing engineering business, seeking an organised and detail-oriented Engineering Scheduler to coordinate their field service operations.
This is a key role within the business, responsible for ensuring engineers are efficiently scheduled, customers are kept informed, and service delivery runs smoothly.
Key Responsibilities

Schedule and coordinate field service engineers, ensuring optimal utilisation and efficient routing
*
Act as the main point of contact for engineers and customers regarding service appointments
*
Manage reactive and planned maintenance schedules, prioritising urgent requests where required
*
Monitor job progress and adjust schedules in real-time to accommodate delays or changes
*
Liaise with internal teams to ensure parts, equipment and resources are available for scheduled work
*
Maintain accurate records of jobs, engineer activity and customer updates within internal systems
*
Communicate effectively with customers to confirm bookings and provide updates on service visits
*
Support the wider operations team with administrative tasks as required
Requirements
*
Proven experience scheduling field service engineers is essential
*
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
*
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
*
Confident working with scheduling systems and Microsoft Office (particularly Excel)
*
Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to changing workloads
*
A proactive and problem-solving mindset with strong attention to detail
