Fostering Business Support Coordinator - Maternity Cover - Romford
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Fostering Administrator / Business Support Coordinator to join Five Rivers Child Care on a fixed‑term maternity cover until December 2026. The role is based in our Romford office.
About the role
The London & East Business Support Team works cohesively across the service. We are a friendly, hardworking team that enjoys working alongside our social workers and fostering support worker colleagues. Our Trauma‑Informed (ATIC) model integrates our Fostering, Residential, Clinical, and Education services to achieve the best possible outcomes for young people.
Responsibilities
* Maintain the CHARMS database to ensure compliance
* Answer telephone and email enquiries
* Process regular checks for present foster carers and children
* Process financial claims and liaise with the finance team
* Organise room bookings
* Attend monthly meetings and take minutes
* Ensure Five Rivers policies and procedures are adhered to
* Complete additional administrative tasks or projects as required by the business or fostering managers
* Promote inclusion and participation of children and young people in the development of the foster service
Hours
Full‑time, Monday to Thursday 9am‑5pm, Friday 9am‑4:30pm.

Qualifications and experience
* The desire to be a team‑player who wants to achieve the best possible outcomes for all children and foster carers
* Experience of working in the fostering sector and/or children/young people in social care (preferable)
* Excellent Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
* The ability to handle complex situations
* Proven organisational skills and time management
* Valid driving licence
* Right to work in the UK
