Now anexciting opportunity has arisen for us to grow our team of Advanced ClinicalPractitioners within Barnsley Hospital Emergency Department.
We see in excess of 101,000people a year, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, working closely with otheracute trusts in South Yorkshire.
We are looking for ACPs with adesire to deliver high quality patient centred care, and the ability to leadeffective and efficient Urgent and Emergency Care. You will be a integral partof the multidisciplinary team, assessing, diagnosing and treating patients witha range of emergency conditions. You will be driven and motivated, and be ableto demonstrate a kind and compassionate attitude. Main duties of the job
ClinicalCare
* Perform thoroughassessments, including detailed history-taking, physical examinations, andinterpretation of diagnostic tests.
* Diagnose, manage, and treata broad spectrum of emergency presentations, from minor to acuteillnesses.
* Formulate, implement, andevaluate individualised management plans, including admission, referral,or safe discharge.
* Prescribe medications, orderinvestigations, and perform advanced procedures within the scope ofpractice.
* Prioritise care based onclinical need and manage complex cases, ensuring appropriate escalationwhen required.
Leadership and Education
* Act as a clinical leaderwithin the ED, supporting and mentoring colleagues across the multidisciplinaryteam.
* Provide education andsupervision for junior staff, trainee ACPs, and other learners within thedepartment.
* Advocate for evidence-basedpractice and contribute to the development of clinical guidelines andprotocols.
Operational Support
* Work collaboratively withthe ED team to enhance patient flow and reduce waiting times.
* Support the delivery ofhigh-quality care while maintaining efficiency in a busy, dynamicenvironment.
Quality Improvement and Research
* Participate in audits,service evaluations, and quality improvement projects to improve patientoutcomes and streamline processes within the ED.
* Contribute to or leadresearch initiatives related to emergency care.

* Chest/other Radiographic Interpretation Qualification (Msc Level)
* Attained/working towards RCEM curriculum credentialing
* Advanced Resuscitation (ALS)
