We are looking for a full-time specialist or residency-trained clinician in Soft Tissue and Orthopaedic Surgery to join our team at Pride on an initial 12-month fixed-term contract. You will support our existing team in providing first-class care for our patients.
About Us
Pride Veterinary Referrals is part of IVC Evidensia. We are the small animal referral hospital for the Scarsdale Veterinary Group, employing over 300 staff across 10 sites in the East Midlands. Pride offers specialist-led services in anaesthesia and analgesia, diagnostic imaging, internal medicine, soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery, neurology, oncology, ophthalmology, and more. We also provide advanced practitioner-led cardiology, physiotherapy, and hydrotherapy services.
The hospital provides 24/7 veterinary care with a dedicated night team. Facilities include 5 operating theatres, a full imaging suite (X-Ray, CT, MRI, Ultrasound), and an on-site Laboratory. We collaborate closely with the University of Nottingham, allowing veterinary students to rotate through our services.

About the Team and Culture
Our team of over 100 veterinary professionals delivers specialist-led care, collaborating to achieve the best outcomes. The team includes 3 boarded specialists and 3 residents, supported by a dedicated surgical and theatre nursing team. We also have a well-established leadership structure, client care, HR, and facilities management support.
Applicant Requirements
Ideally, candidates will be European or American College Diplomates, but residency-trained clinicians with the right knowledge and experience will also be considered. The candidate should enjoy interdisciplinary collaboration and supporting residents, interns, and nursing staff.
Working Pattern for Work-Life Balance
The position offers a 34-hour workweek over 4 days, with an additional 6 hours paid weekly for on-call and overtime support. Working days are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.
