Reference: 3192ec68 Job Purpose: Personal Assistant for young autistic male to support with activities 8 hours a week Location: NR5 Details: I am a very active young man who likes to be kept busy. I am looking for a Personal Assistant who would enable me to go into the community and enjoy my life to the full. I would like someone to take me out possibly daily for an hour or so but some days I may not feel up to it. I am autistic and nonverbal so someone with an understanding would be preferred but if you do not have any experience, training will be arranged. I need someone who would be able to help me keep a focus on the activity we are doing and provide encouragement when I feel anxious about surroundings or routine. I have no understanding of time and may become upset when I am waiting, therefore the timing and requirements for a Personal Assistant will vary daily for activities such as transport to and from respite, going for walks or going to the beach.
