We are currently looking for experienced skilled Construction Trade Workers who can perform tasks in residential, commercial or industrial construction either as an individual or as part of a team. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years + construction experience.
Specific Responsibilities include but are not limited to for the role:
· To construct, finish, erect, install, renovate and repair structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, wallboard, glass, iron, steel, aluminum and other materials
· Installing facades, cladding, windows, door, flashing & louvres
· Applying waterproofing products and techniques
· Use of hand tools and power tools
· Cleaning the construction site, removing debris, unused materials and hazardous materials
· Moving equipment and materials
· Following health and safety regulations
· Measure, cut and build elements for residential, commercial and industrial projects
· Maintenance of existing structures and fittings
· Stacking and palletizing output
· Dismantling and erection of scaffolding
Skills and Attributes for the Role:
To be successful in this role it is expected that you will have the following personal attributes:
Demonstrable competence with:
· Proven experience in construction works using wood, plywood, wallboard, glass, iron, steel, aluminum and other materials
· Proven Installation practices with a variety of components.
· Commitment to Health and Safety practices on all building sites.
· Ability to work with dexterity and precision.
· Good understanding of problem-solving techniques.
· Willingness to learn new techniques where required
· Be Physically fit and capable of heavy duties
· Hold a NZ Driver’s license or International Driver’s license
What to Expect if You’re Successful:
Your hourly rate will be dependent on your level of experience from $28-32 per hour
You may be required to relocate, as you could be offered work in one of the following regions in New Zealand: Auckland, Northland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Hawke's Bay, Wellington, Nelson and Canterbury area.
Training available as appropriate to assist you to improve your skills
You will be required to follow all advised health and safety regulations.
