Groobarbs Field Kitchen is a multi-award winning restaurant set in the middle of the Cheshire countryside.
It is our unique setting and fresh farm-grown produce that has brought us both local and national acclaim, with us this year gaining entry into 'The Good Food Guide', and winning the Cheshire Life award for 'Cheshire Restaurant of the Year', among other accolades.
The Field Kitchen is set in the middle of a 6 acre market garden, allowing our chefs access to the freshest and most seasonal produce. We have an ever-changing menu, and champion local producers for our meat and drinks options.
We're looking for someone who's passionate about local, seasonal food, loves meeting guests, and is looking to be part of an energetic, high achieving team.
We run our service in a banqueting style and are open Friday to Sunday each week, with Thursday opening during the Summer and at Christmas.
The Field Kitchen:
* 5 course set menu.
* Open Friday -Sunday ( lunch & dinner service Friday & Saturday, lunch only on Sundays)
* Up to 120 covers per service

The Role:
You will run the show when the Restaurant Manager is not on the rota, and at other times assist them with the running of the Field Kitchen, and the hosting of other events - we run our own sell-out events throughout the year such as Burns Night, Wassail, Summer Solstice and Bonfire Night to name a few, as well as hosting a small number of weddings and private events each year.
You will inspire the team to deliver excellent customer service and assist in maintaining our high standards of organisation and cleanliness by leading the team to do the same.
This is a very hands on role and we very much work as a team, you must be willing to get stuck in whether this is assisting the chef, picking veg for the menu or jumping on the bar when needed.
* Meet & greet guests.
* Provide excellent customer service, wherever possible going the extra mile to ensure guest satisfaction.
* Anticipate guests needs where possible and react to those needs to enhance guest satisfaction.
* To ensure that a professional appearance and manner is shown to all visitors, resulting in positive PR both internally and externally.
* Presenting menus, serving, and helping customers select food and beverage by offering suggestions.
* Sound knowledge and interest in seasonal produce.
* Cleaning tasks and opening/closing of the restaurant.
* Someone who has excellent communication skills, to communicate with the kitchen, bar, team members and management.
* Assist Restaurant manger with events.
The position:

* 22- 30 hrs per week average (more hours available over the summer & Christmas with Thursday opening
