Job Description:
The Contact Transport and Supervision Officer is responsible for transporting and supervising children and young people in care for contact with their parents, carers, or others as identified in the care plan. The officer will collect and safely transport children from their placement to the contact venue, supervise the contact between the children and their parents, provide written reports on the contact proceedings, and report any safeguarding concerns to the Contact Manager and the allocated social worker. Additionally, the officer will assist with service duty arrangements, use various computer applications as required, ensure contact rooms are kept tidy and conform with Health and Safety requirements, attend training sessions, and carry out any other duties within the scope of the job and grading.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Collect and safely transport children from their placement to the contact venue and return them when the contact has concluded
2. Supervise the contact between the children and their parents and ensure that contact requirements and procedures are followed
3. Provide a written report on the required template on how the contact has proceeded
4. Report any safeguarding concerns that arose during the contact to the Contact Manager and the allocated social worker
5. Assist with the service duty arrangements
6. Use various computer applications as required
7. Ensure contact rooms are kept tidy and conform with Health and Safety requirements
8. Attend training sessions as and when required
9. Carry out any other duties that fall within the scope of the job and the grading
Requirements
* Valid driver's license
* Clear background check and references
* Knowledge of safeguarding procedures
* Strong communication and report writing skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
