Job Title: Town Planner

The Company:
Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting an independent Planning Consultancy whose close-knit team is seeking a Town Planner to join the team in their Birmingham office.
The Role
As a Town Planner, you will:
* Handle a variety of projects across sectors such as residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.
* Prepare and submit planning applications, appeals, and associated reports.
* Provide expert planning advice to clients, stakeholders, and local authorities.
* Conduct site visits, assessments, and liaise with multidisciplinary teams.
* Stay informed about planning policies and regulations to ensure compliance.
About You
We are looking for a candidate who:
* Has experience in a town planning role, preferably within a consultancy environment.
* Holds a relevant degree in Town Planning or a related discipline (RTPI accreditation or working towards it is preferred).
* Demonstrates strong analytical, communication, and report-writing skills.
* Is proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing projects independently.
* Has a passion for delivering high-quality planning solutions and working collaboratively with clients.
