Team Manager - Children with Disabilities Hub

As a Team Manager within Cheshire East Council’s Children with Disabilities Hub, you’ll play a vital role in shaping the future of vulnerable children and their families. We’re looking for a confident, compassionate leader who can manage Children with complex needs and disabilities, support a skilled team of family support workers, and provide support to a team of social workers. About the role:

1. Lead a team of family support workers delivering high-quality services to children and families across East Cheshire.
2. Manage children and young people in receipt of packages of support ensuring effective safeguarding and positive outcomes.
3. Provide professional supervision and support to staff, promoting continuous development and accountability.
4. Oversee assessments and care planning, ensuring interventions are evidence-based and aligned with statutory guidance.
5. Collaborate with multi-agency partners to deliver integrated services and promote joint working.
6. Monitor performance and manage budgets, ensuring resources are used effectively and services meet targets.
7. Contribute to service development, shaping policies and procedures to improve outcomes for children and young people with disabilities and complex needs.
8. Working collaboratively with parent/carer forum and multi-agency partners.

About you:

9. You’re a qualified social worker, registered with HCPC, with solid experience in statutory children’s social care and early help.
10. You have a good understanding of children and young people with disabilities and their needs.
11. You’ll have a deep understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and risk management.
12. You’re confident in leading and supervising a team of family support workers, offering guidance and support to help others grow.
13. You will be confident in supporting a team of social workers.
14. You’ll be able to communicate clearly and compassionately with children, families, and professionals.
15. You’re skilled at managing complex cases and making sound decisions under pressure.
16. You’ll use data and insight to drive improvements and ensure services meet high standards.
17. You’re committed to your own professional development and open to learning and innovation.
