Role: SEND Teaching Assistant
Hourly Rate: £13.68–£15.00

We are working with a well-regarded, inclusive school in the Scarborough area that is committed to helping every learner thrive. The school promotes a calm and purposeful learning environment, where pupils are supported to develop confidence and independence.
We are seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils within the classroom. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and wants to make a positive impact on young people’s lives.
The successful candidate will bring patience, flexibility, and a nurturing approach. While experience is beneficial, a proactive mindset and strong interpersonal skills are equally valued.
Key responsibilities include:
• Supporting pupils with special educational needs in class and through interventions
• Working closely with teaching staff to meet individual learning needs
• Encouraging independence, engagement, and inclusion
• Building strong, supportive relationships with pupils and colleagues
• Contributing to a safe and structured classroom environment
