Electromechanical Product Engineer, Robotics

About the role
This Electromechanical Product Engineer, Robotics role is newly created to support the expansion of their offerings by designing functional systems from proof of principles to customer-ready products. It also involves supporting the development of next-generation battery research instruments and production systems.
What we are looking for:
* 3+ years of experience in mechanical assembly and industrial product development
* Strong CAD skills
* Mechanical design expertise
* Exposure to electronics and electromechanical systems (motors, sensors, wiring, etc.)
* Knowledge of pneumatic systems (actuators, valves, airflow control)
* Experience with embedded systems and firmware (microcontrollers)
* Familiarity with manufacturing processes (3D printing, CNC, injection molding)
* Project management experience and outsourcing work packages
* Strong problem-solving skills and interdisciplinary collaboration willingness
Nice to have:
* Workshop tool experience (CNC mills, lathes, laser cutters)
* Background in robotics, automation, mechatronics, or lab instrumentation
* Design experience for low-volume manufacturing or scientific equipment
* Interest in automation batteries or lab workflows
* First aid or health and safety certifications
