PE Global is recruiting a Robotics Manufacturing Engineer for our client based in Stockton-on-Tees. The role is an initial 9-month contract and the role is fully onsite. The rate for this role is £24.22 PAYE or £33.17 Umbrella p/hour.

Responsibilities:
* Lead installation and commissioning of automated welding robots and production equipment
* Manage automation and manufacturing projects from planning through to production launch
* Oversee budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure successful project delivery
* Identify and resolve manufacturing issues using structured problem-solving methods
* Develop and improve manufacturing processes (PFMEA, control plans, process flows)
* Promote Lean manufacturing and quality standards
* Ensure equipment is safe, compliant, and fit for purpose
* Work cross-functionally with operations, facilities, suppliers, and engineering teams
* Support site readiness and manage turnkey equipment suppliers
Qualifications:
- Required:
* Experience in manufacturing engineering and production environments
* Project management experience within manufacturing or automation
* Experience with production equipment installation
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
* Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles
* Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
-Desirable:
* Experience with automated/robotic systems
* Knowledge of control systems
* Familiarity with Siemens Teamcenter
* Experience using quality tools (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone)
* Six Sigma experience
