Support Worker (Autism Support)Location: Southport, MerseysideStart Date: ASAPPay: £90 - £100 per day
Are you passionate about supporting children with autism? We're looking for a dedicated Support Worker to join an Outstanding Autism School in Southport. This role offers a unique opportunity to help students with autism thrive in a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with autism during lessons and activities.
* Assist with academic and personal development, supporting students to reach their full potential.
* Implement behaviour management strategies, using de-escalation techniques to create a calm learning environment.
* Work closely with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure the holistic development of each student.
* Adapt learning materials and tasks to meet students' individual needs.
* Monitor and report on progress, providing feedback to the teaching team.
Ideal Candidate:
* Experience working with children with autism or a strong interest in autism support.
* Empathetic and patient, with a passion for supporting children's growth.
* Strong knowledge of behaviour management techniques.
* Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with staff and parents.
* Positive and adaptable attitude, with a commitment to making a difference.
Requirements:
* Enhanced DBS Disclosure.
* Right to work in the UK.
* Available for a registration interview.
