Overview
Job Category: Housing. Location: Flint House, Church Street, Flint, Flintshire, CH6 5BD, Swindon Borough Council. Hours: 20 per week. Start: Immediate. Salary: £12.85 per hour.
Responsibilities
* Provide intensive, user‑centred support and advice to a caseload of refugee families.
* Build and manage constructive relationships with clients, building trust and managing cases over several months.
* Plan and prepare arrangements for new arrivals, including accommodation and practical arrangements.
* Refer families to appropriate service providers and support the contact process.
* Assist families with necessary paperwork to access services, making applications and claims.
* Maintain accurate case records and monitor data in line with the Service Level Agreement and provide reporting.
Qualifications
* Grades A‑C in GCSE.
* HND qualification or equivalent, or significant experience delivering person‑centred support.
* Formal qualification and/or relevant experience in the Refugee/Third sector.
* Experience providing benefits, housing or debt advice to vulnerable people.
* Experience making decisions about own caseload, managing time and prioritising workloads.
* Excellent knowledge of statutory and voluntary sector services related to benefits, housing and financial capability.
* Strong understanding of the UK benefits system, housing regulations and financial management.
* Experience managing a caseload of benefits, housing or financial capability.
* Understanding of UK benefits system processes and housing regulations.
* Experience working within a diverse team to achieve client outcomes.
* Strong ICT skills with Word, Excel and Outlook.
* Flexible work hours to meet service needs.
