Bank Female Support Worker
We're looking for female support workers to join our team, working across two very special packages of care in the Wigan and Leigh area.This role involves working across both a paediatric and an adult package of care, each supporting individuals with complex health needs.
Pay rate: £13.91 per hour
Shift Pattern: Variety of shifts available across daytimes, including term-time and non-term-time, with shifts between the hours of 6:45am and 9:00pm.
This role involves supporting a child and an adult in two separate homes, both with complex health needs.The child has Sturge-Weber Syndrome, epilepsy, visual impairment, and developmental delay, and requires a calm, structured approach.The adult has Down Syndrome, scoliosis, and is gastrostomy-fed, and enjoys social interaction and community activities. Care is provided on a 1:1 or 2:1 basis depending on need.
Both individuals enjoy sensory and calming activities. One enjoys foot spas, face masks, hand massages, and being included in relaxing, spa-style routines.They also like spending time outdoors in good weather and engaging with animals such as horses and piglets during respite visits.The other enjoys time in the hot tub, sitting on the grass, and engaging in repetitive paper play like tearing, shaping, and manipulating paper to create soothing sounds and movements.
