Responsibilities
* Lead a dynamic strategic alliance driving collaborative health and care research across the region.
* Support WHP in aligning the strategic priorities of partners and navigating governance to facilitate the shaping, delivery and impact of WHP ambitions.
* Lead day-to-day management of the WHP core team and promote cross-organisation and academic discipline collaborative research across Wessex.
* Design and deliver WHP activities and work with partners to deliver multi-million-pound programmes and nationally recognised initiatives such as NIHR infrastructures and the WHP Small Grant Scheme.

Candidate profile
* Essential: Significant senior management experience in a health or care setting, and/or health/care research setting.
* Senior experience at national/regional level involving influencing and leadership in health sector; good networks in NHS across Wessex and/or health/care research structures.
* Extensive experience of large-scale research, organisational change and/or strategic change management programmes; ability to build relationships across organisational boundaries.
* Experience of interagency and partnership working with Primary and Secondary Care, Social care and voluntary sector.
* Experience of motivating and managing multiple teams and ensuring timely completion of projects.
Aptitudes and skills: Essential: extensive programme/project management experience; budget preparation and management; developing strategic and operational partnerships between social care and health organisations or voluntary sector. Desirable: Proficient IT skills including MS Office.
Requirements
* Able to travel to sites across Wessex (driving licence and car preferred).
