Graduate Rail Electrical Engineer - Leeds (Immediate start)
Railway engineering focus with a Graduate Development Programme. Join a global infrastructure firm delivering complex railway projects and developing your professional skills through mentorship, training, and live client work.
Responsibilities
* Selected candidates will be enrolled on the Graduate Development Programme and develop skills within a supportive environment that encourages challenge and collaboration.
* Use industry-leading computer software and BIM modelling programmes on Rail-specific projects.
* Integrate engineering designs from signalling, electrification and permanent way disciplines.
* Plan construction and commissioning phasing to minimise disruption to passengers and the public.
* Ensure designs maximise sustainability outcomes during construction and for the whole life of assets.
* Develop designs that are safe to build, operate and maintain, protecting passenger and public safety.
* Produce concept and outline design proposals addressing client challenges in maintenance, renewal and enhancement of railways.
* Contribute to on-site inspection, assessment and design of railway electrical infrastructure.
* Design railway stations and projects improving urban realm, station buildings, platforms, footbridges and concourses.
Qualifications
* BEng in Electrical Engineering 2:1 (or equivalent)
* MEng in Electrical Engineering 2:1 (or equivalent) would be an advantage
* Rail-related modules would be an advantage
* Enthusiastic, hard-working, technically proficient, with ambition and drive
* Good Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
* Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders
* Ability to structure and prioritise work; team-oriented with initiative
* Ability to work in team settings and independently
