Overview
We are seeking an Exercise Physiologist to join our team at Dudley Private Hospital for 12 months covering a Maternity Relief. As an Exercise Physiologist, you will be responsible for the assessment of patients, prescription of exercises and supervising patient exercise programs. You will deliver therapy in individualised, group and cardiac rehabilitation settings and work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team. Reporting to the Allied Health Manager, you will perform duties with the support and guidance of the Department Manager, Team and Shift Leaders to ensure a high level of quality patient care is delivered in line with the care values and strategic direction of the Hospital and Ramsay Health Care.
Responsibilities
* Assess patients, prescribe exercises and supervise patient exercise programs
* Deliver therapy in individualised, group and cardiac rehabilitation settings
* Work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
* Report to the Allied Health Manager and follow guidance of Department Manager, Team and Shift Leaders
* Ensure delivery of high quality patient care in line with hospital care values and Ramsay Health Care strategic direction
Qualifications
* Degree in Exercise Physiology (or equivalent)
* Current accreditation with ESSA
* Minimum of 1 year’s experience as an Exercise Physiologist
* Current NDIS Worker Check
* Current Working With Children check if required; immunisation proof as applicable
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* High standard of customer service and a team approach
* Commitment to professional development and maintenance of current evidence-based practice
* Understanding of quality improvement principles
* Flexible, positive approach to work
* Desirable: experience in a hospital or rehabilitation setting
* Provide or complete a National Police Check (conducted within the last 12 months)
