SRG are currently working with a leading manufacturer of alloys, and ceramic materials used predominantly in the aerospace, nuclear and motorsport industries. With a global presence and a portfolio of growing products, they are now looking to hire a PhD Physics Graduate – Materials Science to join their technical team in Greater Manchester. This role will involve designing and supplying technical specifications from commercial enquiries, working alongside the technical team to develop and design new solutions for customers and support in driving continuous improvements of product specifications. This role would suit a recent PhD graduate in Physics, with knowledge and experience of materials science, as well as potentially candidates with a PhD in electrical engineering. Alternatively, candidates that have experience in electrical surge protection units are also encouraged to apply.

Recent PhD in Physics with an emphasis on Materials Science
Recent PhD candidates in electrical engineering will also be considered
Knowledge and/or experience in electrical surge protection is desirable but not essential
