The role
The firm are seeking to hire an Employment Partner; to join their growing employment team, their office is based in the heart of the West End of London.
1. The employment team consists of a team of four. The firm are currently succession planning, along with the fact the department is incredibly busy, this is causing them to want to hire a new Employment Partner into the team.
2. The team are extremely entrepreneurial and ambitious, they have recently won an award for the service they offer. You will find there to be a high energy between the team to drive the department forwards.
3. The team currently deal with quite an even mix of claimant and respondent work, currently it is 70% non-contentious, 30% contentious.
4. The team deals with a fairly varied client base across a number of industry sectors including; Technology companies, Logistics, Travel, FMCG, Retail and Hospitality to name a few.
5. You will work with the other partners to drive the department forwards, you will also in time (18-24 months) take over from the current Employment Partner that is due to retire. You will also get involved in business development and mentoring and training of the associates.
6. This role could prove to be a good platform for progression for a senior solicitor seeking a route to partnership, perhaps in a top-heavy team.
7. You will be an Employment Solicitor with at least seven years PQE (no upper limit)
8. Salary and package are negotiable depending on your background and experience, there is also a lucrative bonus structure that allows you to boost earnings by way of billings.
