About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Project Sales Engineer to join our team. This role combines account management with new business development, focusing on delivering engineered solutions for powder handling and process equipment applications. The ideal candidate will have strong technical understanding and experience working with industrial equipment, preferably within the powder processing sector.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and develop existing customer accounts (approx. 70% of the role), maintaining strong relationships and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities (approx. 30% of the role) across target industries in the South of England.
Understand customer requirements and translate them into engineered solutions in collaboration with internal technical teams.
Deliver professional technical presentations, proposals, and quotations.
Conduct site visits to evaluate customer needs and provide product/system recommendations.
Manage project-based sales from initial enquiry through to order placement and handover.
Maintain accurate sales reports, forecasts, and CRM records.
About You
Engineering background or strong technical aptitude (Mechanical, Process, Chemical, Manufacturing, or similar).
Experience working with powder handling, bulk solids processing equipment, or similar industrial process systems.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple sales projects.
Self-motivated with the ability to work remotely and travel to customer sites.
Previous project sales, technical sales, or applications engineering experience.
Familiarity with industries such as food, chemical, pharmaceutical, plastics, or minerals processing.
Location & Travel
Remote working role.
Candidates should be based in the Midlands or South of the UK, due to customer locations.
Regular travel to customer sites required.
