Job Title: Donation Centre Assistant (Sunday Only) Location: Stevenage Contract type: Part time, permanent Salary: £12.42 per hour (£3875.04 per annum) Hours: 6 hours per week About us: Essex & Herts Air Ambulance, unlike NHS emergency services, is a charity. The free life-saving service is provided 24/7 by helicopters and by rapid response vehicles. Each critical care team consists of a pilot and co-pilot, a pre-hospital care doctor and a critical care paramedic. They can be rushed to the scene with life-saving support equipment to deliver advanced clinical care, usually only available in the hospital emergency department. Once stabilised, the patient will be conveyed to the most appropriate hospital by air or land. Without access to National Lottery funding and with only limited support from Government, we rely upon the generosity and goodwill of the people and businesses of Essex and Hertfordshire to remain operational and keep saving lives…we can’t fly without you! Job purpose: To assist with the operations at the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance Donation Centre, transportation department and e-commerce shop. The role is varied across all areas of the warehouse team. Summary of duties and responsibilities: To assist the warehouse manager with the sorting, packaging and storage of donated items. Assist the drivers with picking stock for delivery. Assist with the loading and unloading of the vans. Work with the ecommerce team, packaging items sold online. Work in the donation drop-off office accepting donations from our supporters. Registering donors for gift aid. Ensure their working environment is a safe, productive and hazard free zone. Any other reasonable duties relating to the operations of EHAAT retail business. Assist with listing warehouse items online.
