Multi-skilled Engineer – Cambridgeshire Hours: Monday to Friday, double days 06:00–14:00 & 14:00–22:00, no nights or weekends I’m currently recruiting for a hands-on, multi-skilled engineer to join a well-established food manufacturing site in Cambridgeshire. This role is ideal for someone with both mechanical and electrical experience who enjoys working across a variety of plant and packaging equipment. Key Responsibilities: Planned maintenance and fault finding (mechanical & electrical) Installing, commissioning, and improving plant and equipment Maintaining plant rooms and water treatment systems (where trained) Minimising downtime and contributing to continuous improvement projects Ensuring work is safe and compliant with legal, environmental, and company standards Supporting line changeovers and set-ups Essential Skills: PPM, mechanical & electrical fault finding Line changeovers & belt repairs Food/packaging/FMCG experience Relevant engineering qualification Desirable Skills: Welding (TIG) and basic fabrication Hydraulic, boiler, refrigeration, and packaging equipment knowledge Scissor lift licence, SAP experience What’s on Offer: Competitive salary Training and development opportunities Benefits including rewards schemes and free on-site parking If you’re a proactive, multi-skilled engineer looking for a varied and challenging role in Cambridgeshire, I’d love to hear from you.
