Head of Transactional Finance
Remuneration:
Annual salary from £70,000 to £90,000

Responsibilities:
* Lead and inspire the transactional finance teams—Sales Invoicing, Credit Control, and Accounts Payable (approximately 35 people).
* Set clear objectives, conduct regular one-on-ones, and provide ongoing support to your team.
* Oversee the integration of acquisitions into transactional finance processes seamlessly.
* Drive continuous improvement in internal processes and implement new controls as necessary.
* Ensure strict adherence to finance policies and procedures throughout the organisation.
* Collaborate with auditors and maintain open communication with key stakeholders.
* Manage day-to-day operations, including performance reviews and objective setting for your teams.
* Contribute to cash forecasting efforts through accurate data collation.
* Review aged debt and manage bad debt provisions effectively.
* Own and oversee the SAP Concur expenses processes.
* Handle the incentive payments process and engage in ad hoc project work as needed.
* Provide day-to-day support and training on financial changes to empower your teams.
Person Specification
* ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified Accountant or equivalent experience.
* Proven background in sales invoicing, credit control, and accounts payable.
* Experience managing a large team effectively.
* Strong MS Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookups.
* Familiarity with financial systems and a track record of implementing improvements.
* Previous experience with SAP B1 and managing change within finance and the broader business is advantageous.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a flexible, can-do attitude.
* Willingness to travel to the Head Office and other sites across the UK as needed.
