I am seeking an Aviation Engineering Workshop Inspector to join my renowned aviation industry client based in West London, close to Heathrow Airport. You will be responsible for the detailed inspection of aircraft components, accurately recording findings, and defining cost-effective repair solutions. You will already have proven aviation industry inspection experience and you'll contribute to ensure the airworthiness and reliability of critical aircraft components. Role: Inspector Location: West London, close to Heathrow Shift: Monday to Friday (Week 1- earlies, Week 2 - lates) Salary: £33,860 - £37,000 including shift allowance Applicants must already hold the right to live and work in the UK without any future need for sponsorship. Main Inspector responsibilities: Undertake and complete a detailed inspection of all components using latest criteria and Inspection equipment. Creation and modification of component overhaul / Repair routes within SAP. Ensuring that all information (I.e. Part number, Serial number and condition) is recorded in the shop Repair Order and on SAP. Carry out accurate measurement of components using micrometres, callipers, and other precision tools. Work to Production priority lists. Ideal candidate profile: Previous mechanical component inspection background within aviation employment is essential. Good knowledge of inspection techniques and equipment. Previous practical experience using imperial measurement tools such as Micrometers, calipers and precision measuring tools. Previous knowledge of OEM manuals and Boeing platforms ideal. Aerospace apprenticeship or equivalent is desirable. Qualification in an engineering subject is desirable Previous experience working with SAP software would be advantageous.
