Forklift / tractor / shunting experience is desirable, but training is available for the right candidate. Here at Kettle Produce, the fresh veg that we produce for many of the major UK supermarkets has to be in the right place at the right time.
Logistics Operatives play a pivotal role in ensuring that the site has access to raw materials and equipment and that waste materials are managed correctly. They are responsible for the cleanliness of the factory perimeter and ensure that all logistics equipment and machinery is maintained.
Our ideal candidate will have:

* a team player attitude, contributing effectively to ensure delivery of goals and objectives
* the ability to undertake logistics manual handling duties
The role involves:
* Liaising with Supervisor/Team leader prior to shift to ascertain duties
* Working with your colleagues to meet targets/deadlines
* Following 'clear as you go' and food safety procedures
* Effective and accurate use of Company systems (TROPOS)
* Operate MHE (Mechanical Handling Equipment) in accordance with training, Company H&S policies and manufacturers guidelines
* Conduct pre-start up checks on all equipment as required
* Complete all required paperwork in a timely manner
* Assist with effective job training for new team members
Pay Rate
£13.40 per hour basic
£16.75 per hour overtime
Shift Pattern
2 week rotational - dayshift & backshift. Every second weekend
