Street pride operatives

Job Purpose

We are seeking Street Pride Operatives to support the maintenance and improvement of Coventrys streets, neighbourhoods, parks, and open spaces. This role involves a combination of driving duties and hands-on environmental and grounds maintenance work to ensure public spaces are clean, safe, and well-presented.

Key Responsibilities

* Operate vehicles up to 7.5 tonnes, including mechanical pavement sweepers and grass-cutting machinery
* Carry out general street cleansing duties such as:
o Emptying litter bins and dog waste bins
o Removing graffiti, fly posting, and fly tipping
o Clearing spillages, hazardous objects (e.g. needles), and deceased animals
o Sweeping pavements and public areas
* Perform grounds maintenance tasks including:
o Grass cutting, strimming, and edging
o Hedge trimming and shrub bed maintenance
o Basic horticultural and tree maintenance tasks

Requirements
