McCarthy Stone are recruiting a professional Care Supervisor to join the team at our prestigious Gilbert Place development in Swindon.
Hourly rate and Hours
* 15.24 per hour for day shifts and 12.24 for sleeping night shifts.
* Plus an extra £1 for every hour worked from midnight Friday to midnight Sunday.
* 33.5 hours per week (mix of day and sleeping night shifts).
Day shifts vary between 08:45 and 16:30 or between 16:15 and 09:30. Night shifts are from 21:30 to 09:00am. Care Supervisors sleep between 23:00 and 07:00, providing emergency support to homeowners.
Built in 2021, Gilbert Place is a Retirement Living Plus development with 65 apartments for over 70s, offering excellent facilities within beautiful grounds.
About the role
We are seeking a professional Care Supervisor to exemplify our high‑quality customer standards. This is a brilliant opportunity to support the management and smooth running of this thriving community of active and independent older people so they can live their best lives.
About you
* Warm, friendly, organized and self‑motivated with experience in a care or support environment and excellent care skills.
* Desire to work in the Health and Social Care sector and preferably hold a QCF Health and Social Care (Adults) Level 3 qualification; consideration given to candidates with alternative qualifications and relevant experience.
* Ready to manage security, safety and wellbeing of the development and oversee Care and Support teams.
* Capable of coordinating and facilitating activities to strengthen community spirit.
* Driven to grow skills, lead by example and think on feet.
* Able to make a difference to the wellbeing and happiness of older people.
