SCUK Compliance ManagerCountry: United Kingdom
Santander Consumer Finance is one of the UK’s Leading Motor Finance companies and we are currently looking for a Compliance Manager to join our team, working on a hybrid basis in Redhill, Surrey (with at least days a week in the office).
Reporting to the Head of Regulatory Compliance & DMLRO you will be accountable for the oversight of second line of defence compliance matters across the business.

Responsibilities will include:
3. Assist in day-to-day management of compliance matters as SME within the business
4. Provide leadership to all junior members of the team
5. Help the department meet its internal SLAs
6. Ensure appropriate and timely engagement with internal and external stakeholders
7. Assist the Head of Regulatory Compliance & DMLRO and other senior compliance stakeholders when required
8. Work with other Compliance Managers to ensure department goals are met
9. Build upon internal relationships and those within San UK and SCF Madrid to build a collaborative working environment
10. Escalate any areas of concern in accordance with established Governance
11. Support business projects and initiatives (within the department and across the organisation), from a second line compliance perspective and act as a team player
12. Keep up to date with industry best practice relating to compliance and regulatory risk
13. Take responsibility and actively manage any RCSA requirements relevant to your areas of responsibility
14. In conjunction with other Compliance Managers, produce high quality MI for relevant committees
15. Be an advocate for a good culture across SCUK including actively promoting a good compliance culture

What we’re looking for:
30. A compliance (or other relevant) qualification
31. Extensive compliance related work experience, with knowledge of compliance issues within consumer credit
32. Conduct, compliance and reputational risk experience
33. Experience with customer journey oversight
34. A good knowledge of current UK regulation affecting the business and industry
35. Experience with effectively implementing change
36. Developed knowledge of FCA regulations and rule books
37. Previous, demonstrable, line management experience
38. Previous experience and understanding of the Motor Finance sector
39. A good knowledge of current UK regulation affecting the business and industry
40. Strong organisational skills and flexibility to adapt to a changing environment
41. A need for accuracy and an eye for detail
42. Strong analytical skills
43. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships
44. Ability to meet aggressive deadlines
45. Well-developed report writing and I.T. skills
