Electrical Engineer
to join our Lighting & Energy Solutions team. A Little More About Your Role… You will provide low voltage electrical design and consultancy services for nationally significant clients, supporting technical leads on complex engineering projects. You can expect to work on a diverse range of projects for clients in major public and private sector organizations, becoming part of a respected and ambitious company with excellent career prospects and international opportunities. The work includes: Small and large-scale Electric Vehicle (EV) infrastructure feasibility studies, design, and technical assurance roles, ranging from low-powered local authority chargers to major refuelling hubs with megawatt charging systems and low carbon fuels. Specification and design of renewable energy generation and energy storage systems to support decarbonization and net-zero goals. Design of urban regeneration projects creating vibrant public spaces. Highway electrical design and assurance for local authorities and National Highways. No two days will be the same, but your responsibilities may include: Supporting design team leads on larger projects, focusing on quality, safety, and compliance with CDM regulations. Leading smaller projects, managing resources, delivery, and reporting issues proactively. Participating in project meetings and reviews, providing input on your responsibilities. Coordinating with other teams and stakeholders throughout project stages. Mentoring and developing technicians and engineers, depending on experience. What We Will Be Looking For You To Demonstrate… Proven high standards in low voltage electrical design, preferably within UK transportation sectors. Experience in feasibility, design, installation, or assurance services in UK EV infrastructure or transportation sectors. Responsibility for technical output, program, and financial management of work packages. Strong communication skills and stakeholder engagement. Membership with a professional institution and registration with the Engineering Council. City & Guilds 18th Edition Wiring Regulation certification. Experience with AutoCAD, Trimble Amtech ProDesign, or Modecsoft ElectricalOM is beneficial but not essential.
