City: BEVERLEY
Joint working between Hull and East Riding 50/50 basis.
Facilitating the work of two Enhanced Bus Partnerships and planning/delivering a programme of bus service enhancements. To lead the management and development of Bus Partnership activity across the East Riding of Yorkshire and the City of Hull, including the development and delivery of bus network enhancements, bus infrastructure improvements, increased use of innovative ICT applications and targeted marketing campaigns to promote bus use.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the process of establishing and facilitating the Board and sub-groups of the East Riding of Yorkshire and Hull City Enhanced Bus Partnerships (EPs), providing strategic direction, practical advice, and support. Working closely with the ERYC Transportation Services Group Manager and HCC Strategic Transport Manager, lead the development and delivery of specific EP Schemes.
* Review, update, and potentially integrate the ERYC and HCC Bus Service Improvement Plans and Enhanced Bus Partnership Plans and Schemes as the two Councils continue to collaborate on the formation of a Mayoral Combined Authority.
* Instigate and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders across Hull and the East Riding. Develop the Enhanced Bus Partnerships with local bus operators and other stakeholders, including negotiating with these groups to ensure their commitment to the funding and delivery of the Bus Service Improvement Plan and Enhanced Partnership Plan and Schemes.
* Coordinate work with the marketing teams from both Councils and bus operators to ensure the effective use of technology and social media in the promotion of public transport, and the delivery of EP Schemes.
* Lead on the engagement with the public and stakeholders to ensure that bus services in Hull and the East Riding meet the needs of the local population and visitors, and to manage relationships with a wide range of internal and external customers, Elected Members, and council officers
* Work with neighbouring Local Transport Authorites (especially across wider travel to work areas) to ensure cross-boundary services are suitably intergrated.
* Manage small project teams with internal and external members as required.
* Produce and present complex reports as necessary explaining sensitive and complex service issues.
* Organise Enhanced Partnership Forum meetings and events and facilitate feedback on bus service issue from Forum members.
