We’re looking for a compassionate and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Reading, starting Monday 13th October. You’ll be working in Key Stage 1, supporting pupils with additional needs and helping them to thrive both academically and emotionally. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting classroom teachers and helping students achieve their full potential. You will work closely with children across a variety of age groups, including those with special educational needs (SEN), ensuring they have the tools and confidence to succeed in their studies. Responsibilities Provide 1:1 and small-group support to children with SEN in KS1 Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons Encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation Support with classroom resources, observations, and progress tracking Requirements ✔️ Experience working with children in a school or SEN setting ✔️ Knowledge or interest in supporting pupils with additional needs (e.g. autism, ADHD, speech & language) ✔️ A positive, patient, and proactive attitude ✔️ Availability to start from Monday 13th October At Supply Hive, safeguarding is a top priority.
