We have an opportunity for a Specialist Pharmacy Technician (Dispensary) to deliver high-quality, safe, and effective pharmacy services to in-patient wards (community health and mental health services) and out-patient services.
We are a small, friendly team based at Prospect Park Hospital in Reading, where our dispensary is located.
Our working hours are 09:00 – 17:00, Monday to Friday, with a late shift on a rota basis in the dispensary—no nights or weekends. We offer free on-site parking.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leadership experience to manage the dispensary and team
* Contribute to the development and implementation of pharmacy services
* Develop and extend the roles of Pharmacy Technicians and support staff
* Provide a high-quality, patient-focused dispensary service
* Ensure KPIs are appropriate, report on them, and recommend improvements
* Review skill mix and working methods in the dispensary
* Complete accuracy checking sessions
* Support the training of Pharmacy Technicians
* Collaborate with the clozapine clinic team to ensure medicines are prepared for clinics
* Develop skills through CPD and clinical supervision
* Support Pre-registration Pharmacy Technicians and support workers in their learning
