Job Purpose
The Cyber Security Analyst is responsible for protecting the Betfred network and systems from Internet-based cyber-attacks. This includes threat intelligence and research on IT trends, creating contingency plans, administering cyber security controls and tooling, reviewing suspicious activities, reporting security breaches, and educating the business on security measures.
Job Duties
* Own and remediate security incidents and security alerts as reported
* Ensure the SIEM tool is logging all available assets and tune alerts to reduce false positives and highlight new or additional IOCs
* Support escalations from Endpoint Detection & Response tooling
* Support the Betfred Security Incident Management process and post-incident investigations to identify root cause and recommend improvements
* Test the compliance and effectiveness of security controls
* Assist in creating and updating Security Reporting & Metrics
* Ensure the business regularly monitors all assets for vulnerability identification and remediation
* Take ownership of governance of patch management across Betfred
* Administer security solutions to improve detection capability and security posture
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience
* A degree in a relevant subject or experience in infrastructure support and/or working in a SOC/Security team
* Excellent understanding of current and new IT security technologies, breaches, and trends
* Experience of working with IT Service Management tools
Desirable
* Experience working in the gaming/betting space or a similar sector
* Knowledge of ISO27001, PCI-DSS is advantageous but not a requirement
* Knowledge of various security methodologies, processes and technical security solutions
* Knowledge of the following security tools would be beneficial: SentinelOne, Taegis XDR, Tenable.io, Tanium
* Knowledge of OWASP, Application Security and Secure Coding principles
Qualifications
* Experience as a Security/Network Administrator or equivalent
* Previous Security Operations Centre (SOC) experience would be a plus
* Experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools
