Job Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Healthcare Support Worker to join the Primary Care team at HMP Risley, a category C prison housing around 1100 males located in the Risley area of Warrington. This role is a crucial part of the healthcare team, delivering outstanding care to patients.
Hours & Salary
Hours: Full-time, average 37.5 hours per week. Mainly day shifts (07:30‑20:30) including weekends, with one week of nights every 5 weeks.
Salary: £25,557 – £29,723 per annum, depending on experience.

Main Duties
* Ensure continuity of care for all patients and deliver outstanding care at all times
* Work across all areas of care including inpatients, clinics, primary care, health promotion, bloods etc.
* Respond to emergency situations as needed
* Work holistically with your patients and other healthcare staff, including nurses, nursing associates, pharmacy etc.
* Deliver personalised, non‑judgemental care based on patient feedback
* Contribute to and implement care packages, assist with health promotion, wellbeing and clinics

Qualifications
* NVQ Level 2 / 3 qualification in Health & Social Care, or equivalent
* Experience within a healthcare setting – hospital, community or secure setting
* Any experience in primary care or inpatients would be a bonus
* Non‑judgemental, compassionate approach
