Fabrication Technician – Hailsham
Fabrication Technician required for a growing engineering and advanced materials business based in Hailsham. This Fabrication Technician role offers hands-on involvement in the manufacture, assembly, and modification of precision metal components used across aerospace, defence, and engineering sectors.
As a Fabrication Technician, you will work from technical drawings to produce accurate, high-quality fabricated parts. The Fabrication Technician will be responsible for cutting, shaping, drilling, and assembling metal components using a range of workshop tools and equipment.
This Fabrication Technician position is suited to someone with strong practical skills, workshop experience, and the ability to interpret engineering drawings confidently.
Key responsibilities include:
* Fabricating and assembling metal components using hand and power tools
* Operating equipment such as mag drills, grinders, and cutting tools
* Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
* Measuring, marking out, and preparing materials accurately
* Inspecting finished work to ensure quality standards are met
* Maintaining tools and ensuring adherence to health & safety procedures
Requirements:
* Previous experience as a Fabrication Technician or similar role
* Ability to read and work from technical drawings
* Strong hands-on fabrication and workshop skills
* Experience with cutting, grinding, and mechanical assembly
Desirable:
* Structural steel or pipework experience
* Experience with frameworks or installation work
* Lathe or milling machine exposure
