As a result, alongside several partners; Balfour Beatty have been selected by BP (British Petroleum) to construct a first-of-a-kind fully integrated gas-fired power station with carbon capture and storage which is a key driving force behind plans to make Teesside the UK's first decarbonised industrial cluster.
Balfour Beatty is seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Controls Manager to contribute to the Net Zero Teesside project based at our new site in Redcar and Cleveland.
What you'll be doing
* Prepare & administer project controls procedures and provide training to the team
* Prepare management reporting both internally and client facing
* Review and implement project procedures/processes aligned with client requirements
* Attend cost and value report meetings, facilitate performance dashboard and risk review meetings
* Ensure quality and timely submissions of reviewed performance measurement sheets and dashboard reports
* Review and analyse earned value data (Planned, Earned, Actual, Remaining, At Completion)
* Maintain a structure for monitoring forecast and actual data against budgets and previous forecasts
* Establish a quantity tracking system and prepare quantity unit rate reports
* Actively identify, implement and support process improvements
* Support the head of project controls and lead planners with analysis of trend data and provision of metrics for review
Who we're looking for
* Previous experience as a project controls manager in a major multi-discipline engineering environment
* Previous experience of working in a portfolio environment in a client facing role
* Budgeting and Earned Value Management experience - from design engineering to construction
* Experience of facilitating risk review meetings, risk identification, documentation and risk analysis
* Experience of conducting Quantitative Schedule Risk Assessments & using Primavera Risk
* Experience of preparing/reviewing Cost Value Reports and Cost Control Reports
* Experience of managing change and preparing/reviewing cost and cash flow forecasts
* Knowledge of preparing staff and labour programmes, histograms and reports
* Experience in Energy or Process Industries (Desirable)
* Implementing Project Control systems (Desirable)
* Experience of working on Site (Desirable)
