Horton Housing are currently recruiting for a Head of Income Services to join our established Finance Team based at our Head Office in central Bradford.The contract will be offered on a full time permanent basis, Monday to Friday (35 hours per week), however, flexible working arrangements are available.The annual salary is £47 000 and you will be entitled to 6 weeks annual leave (plus bank holidays). Hybrid working will be available for this role.Reporting the the Head of Finance,Head of Income Services will be responsible for leading the organisation's income management function, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and value for money across all income streams.This includes rent and service charge setting, income-related financial reporting, and oversight of all income collection activity. The role will also coordinate and monitor organisational procurement.This is a new post and an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to shape and develop the service areas, driving improvements, embedding strong regulatory compliance, and maximising income to support the organisation's wider housing and support services.ESSENTIAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:Proven experience in rent and service charge setting within social housing, ideally including supported housing.Strong understanding of relevant regulations, rent standards and compliance requirements.Awareness of procurement processes and public procurement legislation.Highly numerate, analytically strong, and confident in interpreting complex data.Excellent IT skills, including advanced Excel capability.Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including with local authorities, commissioners, and Housing Benefit teams.Values-driven, collaborative, solutions-focused, and able to work hands‑on when required.DesirableA recognised finance qualification (ACCA or equivalent) or currently working towards one.Experience managing and developing teams responsible for rent or income services.Experience working with Local Authority Commissioners on income management.Knowledge of supported housing benefit rules, including in specified, managed, or exempt accommodation.For the full role profile please see the attached job description.Horton Housing is committed to safe and fair recruitment, safeguarding and protecting the people that we support.The majority of positions here at Horton will require a fully completed application form and an enhanced DBS check to identify and reject applicants who are unsuitable to work with children or young people.Please be aware that Horton Housing Association is not a sponsoring organisation.Therefore the successful applicant must already possess the right to work in the UK or be able to secure the right to work in the UK independently.
