Who We’re Looking For
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of the Energy & Maintenance Team within Corporate Estates. You will play a key role in supporting the delivery of a high-quality Energy Management and Energy Conservation Programme, as well as assisting with projects across the Council’s property portfolio.
We are looking for someone who is highly motivated and proactive, capable of adapting to evolving demands and meeting tight deadlines. You will contribute to the design and implementation of innovative work programmes, gaining valuable experience in project delivery.
Additionally, you will work alongside experienced energy assessors and engineers, providing support in conducting assessments and feasibility studies to identify energy conservation opportunities.
Entry Requirements
You will need 5 GCSEs (Grades A-C) in Maths, English and Science based subject or equivalent to apply.
What Will You Study?
All Apprentices will be supported to complete a HNC Building Services (Electrical) qualification.
What will you be paid?
This is a fixed term post for a two-year period and will start in September. You will be paid National Minimum Wage dependent on age:
* 21 & over £12.21
* 18 - 20 £10.00
* Under 18 £7.55

Due to the Apprenticeship entry criteria, applications cannot be accepted from any applicant who has already gained a similar qualification at level 4 or above in the role applied for.
For example, if you have a degree in Civil Engineering you will not be eligible to apply for a Civil Engineering apprenticeship post. However, you could apply for any other apprenticeship post. Any such applications will not be considered.
