Axon Moore are partnering with a leading, investment-backed business based in Wilmslow to recruit an Accounts Assistant on a permanent basis. We've worked closely with this business for a number of years and have seen first-hand the opportunities for growth, development, and progression within their finance team.

About the Role
This role will suit someone inquisitive and eager to learn, ideally with a solid grounding in accounts payable and transactional finance, who wants to broaden their experience into month-end and reporting work. You’ll be working as part of a small, supportive team and gain exposure across the full finance function.
Main duties:
Organising and managing payment runs
Ensuring strong internal controls and authorisation processes
Supplier reconciliations and handling supplier queries
Monitoring cost trackers to ensure goods have been received
Maintaining accurate vendor records and documentation
Providing basic analysis of AP balances and payment data
Supporting the team with cash flow forecasting
Assisting with preparation of weekly and monthly sales reports
Month-end support: journal postings, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations
Involvement in stock reporting and analysis
Individual specification:
Experience in an accounts assistant, AP, or transactional finance role
Strong Excel skills and a good attention to detail
A team player who’s also confident managing their own workload
Enthusiastic about learning and growing into broader finance duties
Someone who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment
