Band 5 Mental Health Nurse
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to work with the Addiction Recovery Team across North Lanarkshire. The team is based across 6 sites. The team is multi-disciplinary in nature and also includes social workers, social care workers, Psychiatry, Nursing and Occupational Therapy.
ART works directly with adults and their families/carers who have Addiction issues and complex needs.
The Service will be undertaking a whole systems review to ensure we continue to evolve to match the aspirations of the Scottish Government. MAT standards is a key priority and you will be integral to ensuring standards are achieved.
The service offers innovative treatment to people living in the community wherever possible and is able to offer intensive treatment for time limited periods where required.
The team also has a role to support partner agencies including working alongside justice, adult services and children and families. You will be offered regular supervision, partake in MDTs and joint working.
The team undertakes considerable service development work which the post holder will have the opportunity to contribute to, in addition to participation in areas of work both for your own interest and professional development.

What we'll need you to bring
* Registered Mental Health Nurse with valid NMC Registration
* The post holder will be required to demonstrate excellent team working skills with the ability to work using own initiative
* Effective listening, communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Working knowledge of basic information technology
* A driving licence is required this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.
It would be great if you also have
* Completion of Suicide Prevention Training, Mental Health Act learning materials; 10 Essential Shared Capabilities for Mental Health Practice learning materials
* Degree or working towards degree level education in a relevant subject
* Relevant experience in mental health as a registered mental health practitioner
* Relevant practice in mental health at registered nurse level in forensic mental health or adult mental health
* Demonstrate a commitment to delivering and improving patient care
* Working knowledge and Awareness of relevant mental health legislation, policies, standards, best practice statements, guidelines and capability frameworks.
* Proficient in mental health assessments
* Knowledge of evidence based interventions in recovery focused care and treatment of people with mental illness
