The Role
As a Business Development Manager (BDM), you’ll drive new business and build high-value broker relationships. This is a field-based role where your network, energy, and ability to open doors will directly translate into success. You’ll be the face of the lender to brokers, showcasing their bridging and development finance solutions and delivering the service that sets them apart.
Key Responsibilities
* Drive new business and meet monthly drawdown targets
* Build, maintain, and grow relationships with mortgage brokers, introducers, and intermediaries
* Present and promote lending products, focusing on bridging and development finance
* Deliver consistent activity levels: broker meetings, networking, and generating indicative terms
* Ensure all new business fits the lender’s appetite and criteria
* Act as a trusted partner to brokers, ensuring deals are managed smoothly with support from underwriting and case management teams
Package
* Commission: 0.25% of each completion – a highly competitive, uncapped structure
* Support: Dedicated underwriting and case management teams
* Flexibility: Field-based role, no requirement to be in the office daily (quarterly team meetings held in London)
Skills & Experience
* Proven track record in business development within bridging and/or development finance
* Established broker network with the ability to generate immediate business
* “Hunter” mentality – proactive, energetic, and process-driven
* Experience with smaller lenders or packagers highly advantageous
* Strong knowledge of the specialist lending market, products, and broker landscape
* Excellent communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills
