Be-IT is proud to partner with a leading Scottish-based organization to recruit a Systems Administrator on a full-time, permanent basis. This position is based in Glasgow, with hybrid working available post-probation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Daily administration, monitoring, and maintenance of infrastructure systems, including Windows and Linux servers, Active Directory, Windows workstations, WAN, and LAN.
* Manage and support Microsoft 365, Entra, Azure, Intune, mobile devices (Android/iOS), and associated applications.
* Investigate and respond to security alerts from threat intelligence sources, SIEM, and monitoring tools, ensuring SLAs are met.
* Provide escalation support from the IT Service Desk, acting as the subject matter expert for infrastructure-related issues.
* Document, improve, and automate operational processes and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
* Support the design and implementation of new systems and services, such as Windows servers, cloud migrations, and SaaS platforms.
What We're Looking For:
* Azure, DNS + ability to migrate customer emails are key skills amongst others:
* 3+ years of experience in core infrastructure technologies: Windows Server, Windows 10/11, Active Directory (including Group Policy), Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra, WAN/LAN/WLAN, and mobile device platforms (Android/iOS).
* Familiarity with infrastructure as code concepts and tools such as DSC or Ansible.
* Proficient in PowerShell for scripting and task automation.
* Solid understanding of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, subnetting, VLANs, and VLAN trunking, with experience in network diagnostics.
* Experience with Fortigate firewalls, IPSEC, and SSL VPN technologies.
Package & Benefits:
* Salary : Up to £47,000 depending on experience
* Location : Glasgow – hybrid model (primarily on-site during the 3-month probation, then 50% remote)
