Here at Bournemouth & Poole College, we have a position available for an Electrical Lecturer on a full time, permanent basis. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £30,000 - £40,374 per annum (depending on qualifications and experience). The Electrical Lecturer Role
As our Electrical Lecturer, you will deliver high quality and effective teaching, learning and assessment to Electrical students at Bournemouth and Poole College. The post holder will also act as a personal tutor to students. This is an exciting opportunity to share your knowledge and expertise with the future generation of Electricians.
Responsibilities
* Create an outstanding student experience which leads to progression or employment.
* Contribute to the design, delivery and future planning and development of the curriculum.
* Demonstrate the principles of inclusive learning including individual learning styles, support for students with learning difficulties and disabilities, extension resources/activities for students of higher ability, and general resources, including the use of Information Learning Technology.
* Organise and participate in relevant visits, enrichment visits, and liaise with external organisations to enhance the learner experience.
* Prepare and mark student work, monitor progress towards individual targets, keep records using college systems and provide timely reports/reviews to students, parents, employers, and College managers, as appropriate.
* Take appropriate responsibility to ensure the Health and Safety of self and others.
* Develop and maintain effective external links related to the delivery of the subject/course.
* Internal verification.
* Act as a Personal Tutor to students, full time students/apprentices.
* Represent the College at internal and external events and meetings including student recruitment and admissions events.
Qualifications and Experience
* Level 2 (or equivalent) English and Maths Teaching Qualification or willingness to achieve within 3 years.
* Level 3 Electro Technical qualification NVQ Level 3 Electro Technical or a current JIB Gold card.
* 5 years minimum industry experience in Electrical Installation.
* Knowledge of current industrial practices or teaching in field(s) of expertise.
* Competent in Microsoft Office applications.
